Hang-It Display Systems came about due to the difficulty in obtaining a safe, solid means to display fish fossils and artifacts in Riker boxes. These fossils and display boxes would previously lean against a wall or be balanced on a tripod or easel. Both of these methods are unsteady and prone to being knocked down accidentally. As a result, most of these artifacts end up laying flat on a shelf piled on top of each other. A trip to one of the Wyoming fossil fish quarries in the Green River Formation provided the inspiration for a way to inexpensively, easily, professionally, and safely hang such treasures for enjoyable display.
